How England performed
England opened the 2015 Six Nations with a 21–16 win over Wales at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff and followed it with a 47–17 victory over Italy at Twickenham. The key setback came in Dublin, where Ireland won 19–9 at the Aviva Stadium, England's only defeat of the campaign.
Stuart Lancaster's side, captained by Chris Robshaw, then beat Scotland 25–13 at Twickenham and closed the championship with a 55–35 win over France at the same ground, a match that produced 90 points. Four wins and one defeat, with 157 points scored and 100 conceded, left England second for the fourth season running, though without the Triple Crown they had won in 2014.
