How England performed

Only one win came England's way in 1933, yet it was enough for second place. Wales won 7–3 at Twickenham, London, on 21 January, before England beat Ireland 17–6 at the same ground on 11 February.

The campaign ended with a 3–0 defeat by Scotland at Murrayfield, Edinburgh, on 18 March; both defeats were by four points or fewer. England scored 20 points and conceded 16, unable to hold on to the share of the title won in 1932.
