No noise. No nonsense. Just England.
Six Nations Championship
England: 3rd
How England performed
England's 2024 Six Nations, under head coach Steve Borthwick and captain Jamie George, was defined by tight margins. They opened with a 27–24 win over Italy at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome and then beat Wales 16–14 at Twickenham.
Scotland won 30–21 at Murrayfield in the third round, but England responded with their key result, a 23–22 win over Ireland at Twickenham. The championship ended in Lyon, where France won 33–31 at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais. Three wins and two defeats left England third, one place higher than in 2023, although they conceded more points than they scored, 123 against 118. Four of their five matches were decided by three points or fewer.
