How England performed

A share of the 1920 Five Nations Championship title went to England, who won three of their four matches. Their previous championship, in 1914, had ended in a Grand Slam.

The campaign began with a 5–19 defeat by Wales at St. Helen's, Swansea, but England won each of their remaining matches. France were beaten 8–3 at Twickenham, London, Ireland 14–11 at Lansdowne Road, Dublin, and Scotland 13–4 back at Twickenham. England scored 40 points and conceded 37.
