No noise. No nonsense. Just England.
Six Nations Championship
England: 2nd
How England performed
England's 2025 Six Nations began with a 27–22 defeat by Ireland at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, but Steve Borthwick's side, captained by Maro Itoje, did not lose again. Two one-point home wins followed at Twickenham, 26–25 against France and 16–15 against Scotland.
England then beat Italy 47–24 at Twickenham and finished the championship with a 68–14 victory over Wales at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, their biggest win of the campaign. Four wins and one defeat, with 179 points scored and 105 conceded, earned second place, one position higher than in 2024. The final two rounds produced 115 of their 179 points, a contrast with the narrow margins of the middle of the championship.
