England: Not completed

How England performed

The 1885 championship was not completed, but England won both of the matches they played. At St. Helen's, Swansea, on 3 January, they finished level with Wales on goals, one apiece, and took the match on tries, scoring four to Wales's one.

A month later Ireland were beaten by two tries to one at Whalley Range, Manchester. England therefore ended the unfinished championship unbeaten, following on from the Triple Crown of 1884.
