How England performed

Four wins from five Tests made 1932–33 a successful tour for England. The series began in Sydney with a ten-wicket victory, England making 524 and needing a single run in the fourth innings after bowling Australia out for 360 and 164.

Australia levelled in Melbourne, winning a low-scoring match by 111 runs as England were dismissed for 169 and 139. England then took control: a 338-run win in Adelaide, built on totals of 341 and 412, was followed by a six-wicket win in Brisbane, where they edged the first innings 356 to 340 and reached 162 for four. The final Test in Sydney brought an eight-wicket win, England overhauling Australia's 435 with 454 and finishing on 168 for two, for a 4–1 series result.
