How England performed

An unbeaten campaign left England second in 1901–02, with three goals scored and two conceded. The opening fixture, against Wales at the Racecourse Ground, Wrexham, ended 0–0.

Settle scored the only goal as England beat Ireland 1–0 at Balmoral Showgrounds, Belfast, and he scored again in the final fixture, a 2–2 draw with Scotland at Villa Park, Birmingham, on 3 May. Wilkes scored England's other goal, while Templeton and Orr scored for Scotland. It was a step down from the title England had won in 1901.
