British Home Championship
England: Shared champions
How England performed
England shared the 1959–60 title, as they had the season before, without losing a match. Greaves scored in a 1–1 draw with Wales at Ninian Park, Cardiff, Moore replying, and at Wembley Stadium, London, Parry's goal in the final minute, straight after Bingham had equalised, beat Northern Ireland 2–1 following Baker's opener.
At Hampden Park, Glasgow, Charlton's penalty early in the second half cancelled out Leggat's goal for Scotland in a 1–1 draw. One win and two draws, with four goals scored and three conceded, earned England a share of the championship.
