How England performed
The Red Roses retained the Women's Six Nations title in 2020 with a second consecutive Grand Slam. The key result came in the opening round, when they beat France 19–13 at the Stade du Hameau in Pau, the closest of their five championship matches.
England followed it with a 53–0 win over Scotland at Murrayfield, a 27–0 victory over Ireland at Castle Park in Doncaster and a 66–7 defeat of Wales at the Twickenham Stoop. The final match was not played until 1 November, when they beat Italy 54–0 in Parma to complete the clean sweep. Five wins from five, with 219 points scored and only 20 conceded, matched the Grand Slam of 2019, and three of their opponents failed to score.
