How England performed
The Red Roses won the 2003 Women's Six Nations with a Grand Slam, winning all five of their championship matches and conceding just ten points in the process. They opened by beating France 57–0 at Twickenham on 15 February and followed it with a 69–7 win over Wales at Cardiff Arms Park.
Spain were then beaten 69–0 at the Twickenham Stoop, Scotland were also overcome, and England completed the clean sweep with a 46–3 victory over Ireland at Thomond Park in Limerick. Their record of five wins from five, with 272 points scored and only 10 conceded, meant they averaged more than 54 points a match while conceding two. It was an improvement on 2002, when a single defeat had left them second with the Triple Crown.
