How England performed
The Red Roses won the 2019 Women's Six Nations with a Grand Slam. They opened with a 51–7 win over Ireland at Donnybrook in Dublin, and the key result came in the second round at Castle Park in Doncaster, where they beat France 41–26 in the closest match of their campaign.
England then won 51–12 against Wales at Cardiff Arms Park and 55–0 against Italy at Sandy Park in Exeter, before finishing with an 80–0 victory over Scotland at Twickenham. Five wins from five, with 278 points scored and 45 conceded, delivered the title, an improvement on 2018, when a one-point defeat by France had left them second with the Triple Crown. They scored at least 41 points in every match, and Italy and Scotland failed to score at all.
