Women's Six Nations
England: Champions (Grand Slam)
How England performed
The Red Roses retained the Women's Six Nations title in 2011 with a second consecutive Grand Slam, following the clean sweep of 2010. They opened with a 19–9 win over Wales at Cross Keys and then beat Italy 68–5 at Molesey Road in Esher.
The key match came at Sixways in Worcester, where England beat France 16–3, and they followed it with an 89–0 victory over Scotland at Twickenham, the biggest win of their championship. The campaign closed with a 31–0 win against Ireland in Meath. Five wins from five and 223 points scored delivered the title, and only Wales managed more than five points against them.
