Women's Six Nations
England: 2nd (Triple Crown)
How England performed
The Red Roses began their defence of the Women's Six Nations title in 2018 with a 42–7 win over Italy in Reggio Emilia, followed by a 52–0 victory over Wales at the Twickenham Stoop and a 43–8 win against Scotland at Scotstoun in Glasgow.
The key match came in the fourth round at the Stade des Alpes in Grenoble, where France won 18–17, a one-point defeat that ended England's hopes of a Grand Slam. They closed the championship by beating Ireland 33–11 at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry. Four wins and one defeat, with 187 points scored and 44 conceded, brought the Triple Crown and second place, a step down from the Grand Slam of 2017. Every one of their four victories came by at least 22 points.
