England: Champions (Grand Slam)

How England performed

The Red Roses won the 2017 Women's Six Nations with a Grand Slam, winning all five matches. The campaign opened with its key result, a 26–13 win over France at Twickenham, and continued with a 63–0 victory over Wales at Cardiff Arms Park.

Back at the Twickenham Stoop, England beat Italy 29–15 and then overwhelmed Scotland 64–0, their biggest win of the championship. They completed the clean sweep with a 34–7 victory over Ireland at Donnybrook in Dublin. Five wins from five, with 216 points scored and 35 conceded, delivered the title, an improvement on 2016, when a final-round defeat by France had left them second with the Triple Crown. Wales and Scotland both failed to score against them.
