How England performed

Nat Sciver-Brunt captained England at the 2025 Women's World Cup in India and Sri Lanka, with Charlotte Edwards as head coach, and the side reached the semi-finals three years after finishing as runners-up. The league stage started emphatically in Guwahati, where South Africa were dismissed for 69 and England won by 10 wickets. England edged past India by 4 runs in Indore, defending 288/8, but lost to Australia by 6 wickets at the same venue. An 8-wicket win over New Zealand in Visakhapatnam completed the league stage.
