England: Group stage

How England performed

England won three of their four Group B matches at the 2024 Women's T20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates, but went out in the group stage, a step back from their semi-final appearance in 2023. Heather Knight was captain and Jon Lewis head coach. The first three matches were played in Sharjah. England defended 118/7 to beat Bangladesh by 21 runs, restricting them to 97/7, then chased South Africa's 124/6 with four balls to spare to win by 7 wickets. Scotland were held to 109/6, and England reached their target without loss in 10 overs to win by 10 wickets.

England's tournament ended with the final group match against West Indies in Dubai. England made 141/7, and West Indies reached 142/4 in 18 overs to win by 6 wickets. Despite three wins and only one defeat, England did not progress beyond the group stage.
