England: Won 12–4 on points

How England performed

A run of five straight wins carried England to a 12–4 points victory in the 2013 home series against Australia.

The series opened with the only Test, at Wormsley, which was drawn: Australia declared on 331/6 and 231/5, while England made 314 and finished on 93/2. In the first of the limited-overs matches, at Lord's, London, England were bowled out for 176 in pursuit of 203/8 and lost by 27 runs.

From there England won every remaining match. At Hove they made 256/6 and dismissed Australia for 205 to win by 51 runs, and two days later at the same ground they passed Australia's 203/4 to win by five wickets. Further victories followed at Chelmsford by 15 runs, at Southampton by five wickets and at Chester-le-Street, where England reached 92/3 in reply to 91/7 to win by seven wickets.
