How England performed

As in 2019, England lost the series 4–12 on points, this time in Australia, and they did not win any of the seven matches.

The first T20I at the Adelaide Oval, Adelaide went to Australia by nine wickets, England's 169/4 overhauled at 170/1. The second, at the same ground, ended as a no result, and the next match in Adelaide was abandoned without a ball bowled.

The only Test, at Manuka Oval, Canberra, was drawn. Australia declared on 337/9 and 216/7, and England made 297 in their first innings and finished on 245/9 in their second. Australia then won all three ODIs: by 27 runs at Manuka Oval, Canberra, where England were bowled out for 178 chasing 205/9, and by five and eight wickets at the CitiPower Centre, Melbourne, after England were dismissed for 129 and 163.
