No noise. No nonsense. Just England.
UEFA Women's Nations League
England: 2nd in League A Group 3
How England performed
The Lionesses opened the 2025 Women's Nations League with a 1–1 draw against Portugal in Portimão, Russo's goal cancelled out in the second half, before Park's strike earned a 1–0 win over Spain at Wembley, the standout result of their group. A 5–0 defeat of Belgium at Ashton Gate followed, but four days later Belgium led 3–0 within 29 minutes in Leuven and held on to win 3–2 despite goals from Mead and Agyemang.
England then beat Portugal 6–0 at Wembley, Beever-Jones scoring a first-half hat-trick, but Spain won the return meeting 2–1 at the RCDE Stadium, Pina scoring twice after Russo had given England the lead. Three wins, a draw and two defeats, with 16 goals scored and six conceded, left the Lionesses second in League A Group 3, the same position they had reached in Group 1 in 2023–24.
