How England performed
The Lionesses began the 2023–24 Women's Nations League in League A Group 1 with a 2–1 win over Scotland at the Stadium of Light, Bronze and Hemp scoring before half-time. The standout result came at Wembley in December, where England came from 2–0 down to beat the Netherlands 3–2, Stanway and Hemp levelling before Toone scored in stoppage time. They closed the group with a 6–0 win over Scotland at Hampden Park, James scoring twice and Greenwood, Mead, Kirby and Bronze also finding the net. Four wins and two defeats, with 15 goals scored and eight conceded, left the Lionesses second in League A Group 1.
