Match guide
The Red Roses face Canada in the Women's WXV at TD Place Stadium on Saturday 24 October, with the kick-off time still to be confirmed. It is England's third WXV meeting with Canada since September, and it gives them an immediate chance to respond to their defeat by the same opponents on 16 October.
That 24–21 loss was only England's fourth defeat in 40 meetings with Canada in our records, against 34 wins and two draws, but it followed a 26–26 draw in September, so the fixture has become far tighter of late. Before that, England had won the previous three meetings, including a 33–13 victory at the Women's Rugby World Cup in September 2025 and a 45–12 win in the WXV in 2023. Elsewhere in the WXV, England beat Australia 48–15 and New Zealand 26–19 in September, and in May they won 43–28 away to France in the Six Nations.
