Match guide

England meet Australia in the fifth T20I of their series at Corroboree Group Manuka Oval in Canberra on Wednesday 2 December, with first ball at 08:15 UK time. It closes England's run of white-ball fixtures in Australia, which began with the first ODI in Perth on 13 November.

Before this tour, the sides' five most recent meetings were all Tests, and Australia won that 2025–26 series 4–1. England's single win came by four wickets in December, when they chased 175 after bowling Australia out for 132 in the second innings. Across formats, our records list 49 meetings since June 1975, with 16 England wins, 30 defeats and three draws. England's T20I form before the tour was positive: in September they beat Sri Lanka by six and eight wickets at home, and followed that with a 2–1 ODI series win over the same opponents.
