Match guide

England meet Australia in the second ODI of their international series at the Adelaide Oval on Sunday 15 November, with first ball scheduled for 03:30 UK time. It follows the series opener in Perth two days earlier, with the third ODI to come in Hobart.

Before this tour, England's recent record against Australia was a difficult one. The sides' previous meetings came in the 2025–26 Test series, which Australia won 4–1, with England's lone victory a four-wicket chase of 175 in December. Across formats, our records list 16 England wins, 30 defeats and three draws from 49 meetings since June 1975. England's white-ball form offers more encouragement: in September they won an ODI series against Sri Lanka 2–1, sealing it with a 223-run victory after posting 355/7, and also won the second and third T20Is of that visit.
