Match guide

England open their ODI series against Australia at Optus Stadium in Perth on Friday 13 November, with first ball at 03:30 UK time. Adelaide and Hobart host the second and third ODIs of the international series, before the sides move on to the T20Is.

Before this tour, the sides last met in a five-Test series that ran from November 2025 to January 2026, which Australia won 4–1. England's only success came in the fourth Test in December, a four-wicket win after bowling Australia out for 152 and 132, while Australia took the other matches by eight wickets twice, 82 runs and five wickets. Across formats, our records show 49 meetings since June 1975, with England winning 16, losing 30 and drawing three. England's 50-over form is more encouraging: in September they beat Sri Lanka 2–1 at home, winning by 89 and 223 runs either side of a 16-run defeat.
