England Rugby Union Betting - England bow out to France in RWC Quarter-Finals
England were sent home by France after they were defeated 19-12 in the quarter finals. Despite winning their Pool England were never at their best during the tournament and France fully deserved their victory over their old rivals. England have been embroiled in controversy throughouth the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand and now their are question marks over manager Martin Johnson's future.
2011 Rugby World Cup
Following their RBS 6 Nations Championship win England were looking to make an impact in the 2011 Rugby Union World Cup in New Zealand. This will be the events seventh outing following its inaugural event in 1987. It will also be the biggest sporting event that New Zealand has ever seen with over 70,000 overseas supporters expected.
Fortunately for England supporters, unlike in the football World Cup and European Championships, there was be no need to watch a painful and elongated qualification process for the England side as they are automatic qualifiers for the event. However, they failed to light up the tournament as they were considered one of the more boring sides.
England Claim the Six Nations
England have won the 2011 RBS Six Nations tournament despite losing their last game against Ireland which denied Martin Johnson's side the Triple Crown and the Grand Slam title.
Ireland comfortably beat England 24-8 at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin to highlight the areas of improvements that still need to be made in the England squad ahead of the 2011 World Cup.
