England RWC Results

Pool B: England 16-12 Scotland

England scraped past rivals Scotland in what was a nervy encounter. Scotland started off the brighter side and in fairness will count themselves unlucky with the final result. With just 10 minutes to go the Scots were leading 12-9 but a Chris Ashton try ensured that England won the match and progressed through to the quarter-finals with a 100% record.

Pool B: England 67-3 Romania

England produced their best performance of the RWC so far by thrashing Romania in their penultimate Pool B match. Chris Ashton and Mark Cueto both grabbed three tries as England ran riot and maintained their 100% start.

Pool B: England 41-10 Georgia

Following their narrow and nervy win against Argentina in their 2011 Rugby World Cup opener, England were looking to bounce back in style with a big win against minnows Georgia. However, despite winning the game 41-10, Martin Johnson's men were unconvincing for large periods and will need a vast improvement if they are to challenge the big guns in the later stages of the tournament

Pool B: England 13-9 Argentina

The 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand kicked off last Friday with the hosts New Zealand convincingly beating Tonga. On Saturday England got a chance to showcase their potential against an ageing Argentina side. However, they narrowly avoided a defeat as they scraped to a barely deserved 13-9 victory. Next up for Martin Johnson's men is Georgia on Sunday 18th September (07.00am BST). England are currently the fourth favourites in the RWC Odds but will need to finish top of Pool B in order to avoid the hosts and hot favourites The All Blacks in the quarter-finals.
