Cricket Ashes 2011

2010–11 Ashes series

Despite winning the ashes, England still trail Australia 31-29, with 5 of them finishing as draws. The series in 2009 saw England retake the Ashes and retain them in 2010/11. Australia are always tough to beat on home soil, as we all know with the Aussies trashing England in last series down under in 2007 by 5-0.

This time round England and their batsman Alastair Cook were in inspired form, winning in style 3-1.

England win Ashes, fans rejoice!

In the end England retained not only the Ashes but managed to win the series 3-1 giving the touring barmy army massive cause for celebration.
